A north London school was awash with colours as Holi, the Hindu festival marking the beginning of spring, was celebrated.
Also known as the festival of colour, the event at Haverstock High School in Chalk Farm was celebrated with dancing, singing and throwing coloured powder.
One participant told BBC London that “Holi is a lovely event – it is full of colours and you can see smiles on everybody’s face.”
While another said: “When we put colour on each other, there is no difference.
“You won’t be able to tell if I am a brown, black, white, yellow, blue-coloured person. It just takes away all the divides.”
