A man has been arrested after an 11-year-old girl’s skirt was lifted up and a photograph taken.
North Yorkshire Police said the girl had been followed by a man as she walked to school along Allhallowgate and Priest Lane in Ripon between 08:20 BST and 08:40 BST on Friday.
The force said workmen witnessed a man approaching her, lifting her skirt and taking a photo before fleeing.
The police said a 26-year-old man had been arrested and had been released on conditional bail pending further investigation.
